Notifications
A running list of operational events that need your attention.
What’s on your notifications page
The notifications page captures events from organisations and from the system that email alone wouldn’t flag clearly enough:
- Payment claimed: an organisation pressed Mark Paid on your invoice via the workplace link. Needs your confirmation.
- Invoice disputed: an organisation raised a dispute on an invoice. Auto-chasers are paused until you resolve.
- Booking disputed: an organisation disputed a booking, e.g. they didn’t book you for that date.
- Shift cancelled: an organisation cancelled a confirmed shift. Triggers your cancellation-fee terms automatically if the window applies.
- Invoice paid: payment matched against an outgoing invoice. From a Xero payment webhook, or the workplace Mark Paid claim once you confirm.
Notifications vs notification preferences
Note
How the notifications page looks
Open /dashboard/notifications. Unread items have a brand-coloured ring and a small filled dot. Clicking anywhere on a row routes to the thing that needs you: the invoice for a paid-claim, the session for a booking-dispute, and so on.
When you have one or more unread items, the dashboard home shows an “X unread notifications” tile in its Needs-your-attention row. Clicking that goes to the notifications page.
Mark all as read
A single “Mark all as read” button in the page header clears unread state. Individual rows don’t have a read-toggle in V1: once you’ve clicked through to the action surface, come back and hit Mark all as read. Future versions will track read state per-row as you navigate away.
Retention
The notifications page keeps the most recent 200 items. We don’t currently prune older items automatically, but the list only renders the first 200. If you need a historical record of workplace actions older than that, contact support and we can look it up on your behalf.
